Privacy policy

Your stay records stay under your control.

You can keep stay records on your device. Connecting a shared workspace enables storage and synchronization through StayTurn so authorized operators can work across devices.

Effective September 10, 2026

Information kept on your device

StayTurn can store property and stay details, photos, receipts, notes, costs, imported reservation data, checklists, preferences, and recovery copies in local app storage. In local-only use, this content stays on the device unless you share or export it. In a connected workspace, saved record changes and files synchronize automatically.

You control when records are exported, shared, or deleted. Removing the app may remove its local data, subject to your device and operating-system backup settings.

Camera and photo access

StayTurn asks for camera or photo-library access only when you choose to add a photo or receipt. Selected files are added to the stay record and synchronize if that record belongs to a connected workspace. StayTurn does not scan your library in the background.

Connected services

  • Public research: StayTurn may retrieve public short-term-rental research and market records. These requests do not include your stay record.
  • Workspace access: Shopify hosts account sign-in. StayTurn processes verified account identifiers, purchase and refund status, workspace membership and session records to check access. StayTurn does not receive your payment-card details through this sign-in.
  • Shared records: Connected workspaces store records and encrypted file data using Neon and Vercel infrastructure. StayTurn manages the encryption keys for shared records; authorized server operations decrypt records for workspace operators. This is not a service in which the provider is unable to access shared content. Existing device records join a workspace only when you choose to include them.
  • Contributor inbox: A private upload link lets a contributor submit selected files and an optional name without an account. Encrypted files are stored in a delivery queue so the host can receive them later. Anyone with the upload link can submit files during its upload window, so share it only with the intended contributor. The host reviews received files before they enter the stay record.
  • Cleaner schedules: In a connected workspace, a host can create a job with an approved property label, cleaner display name, time window, time zone and instructions. The invitation holder can respond and send selected files and notes without an account. StayTurn stores the schedule, received content, responses and host decisions with their service receipt times. A link holder's identity is not verified. Unsent cleaner notes and file selections remain only in the open page and are lost on reload or close.
  • Recoverable cleaner invitations: StayTurn can recover this invitation's secrets so authorized workspace members can reopen it. This is not end-to-end encryption from StayTurn. A cleaner invitation grants access to one job. Reassignment revokes the previous invitation, but cannot recall information already downloaded or copied.
  • Direct Photo Drop: The separate direct-transfer option stores connection-negotiation messages for up to one hour. File bytes travel between the two devices, which must remain connected during transfer.
  • Basic service records: Hosting and infrastructure providers may process standard request information such as IP address, device or browser type, time, and requested page for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
  • Support: If you email support, the message and address you provide are used to answer your request.

What StayTurn does not do

Retention and deletion

Local records remain until you delete them, clear app storage, or remove the app. Signing out does not erase local files. Shared records remain available to authorized workspace operators; removing an operator stops future access to shared workspace records but does not erase copies already received or exported.

Contributor upload links close after 72 hours or when revoked. Closing a link does not discard pending uploads. Pending files remain for host review; queued file bytes are removed after the host successfully saves and acknowledges them or chooses to discard them. Unfinished contributor uploads remain encrypted in that contributor's browser for retry. Direct-transfer connection messages expire within one hour.

Cleaner jobs use a separate retention period. Job content and received files are retained for 90 days after the last job activity unless deleted sooner. Recorded changes, responses, file uploads and review decisions restart this period; opening the job does not. Authorized workspace members can export the job record and delete its content from the cleaner schedule. Deletion immediately closes the invitation and removes the schedule, invitation secrets and content history. Encrypted upload files are removed by background cleanup, which retries failures; they remain inaccessible through the deleted invitation while removal is pending. A minimal job record remains to prevent reuse of that invitation. Files saved into a stay, exports and other downloaded copies are separate. Incomplete cleaner uploads become eligible for cleanup after 24 hours.

For deletion of shared workspace information, contact support. Support messages are retained only as reasonably needed to answer, secure, and document the request.
